INVASION
The film follows one personal story of an individual managing the effect of having an online presence known as her alter-ego on social media sites.
The film challenges the conflict that arises between online invisibility and the invasion of privacy from ones social media profile. It juxtaposes the idea of wanting to declare personal online documentation as a consequence of the pressures of social recognition for the Alter-ego online against the desire to preserve privacy from intrusive surveillance and retain a sense of innocence.
The concept aims to raise the question of how genuine a performance is when documented solely to gain public recognition and how difficult it is for the individual to find personal relief beyond the online digital spotlight. A battle against ones online Alter-ego emerges.
